The City of Charlotte owns and operates seven cemeteries. They are significant public assets, invested in by the community with sentimental, historic and cultural value. Save Cedar Grove is a collection of volunteers committed to preserving, documenting and restoring the historic African American Cemetery known as Cedar Grove (aka Cedar Hill) Cemetery in West Charlotte.
